Ninh Binh – Tam Coc

From Ha Long Bay we took a quick pit stop in the Ninh Binh/Tam Coc region as we make our way to central Vietnam.

We woke up at 4:45 am and by 5:15 am we were hiking up stairs to catch the sunrise at the top of Mua Cave overlook. It was a beautifully clear morning and the views were spectacular. It’s hard to pick a favorite place when we go from one beautiful spot to the next.

We had a delicious breakfast at our hostel complete with yummy omelets and passion fruit juice.

Then we headed to Bich Dong Pagoda before it got too busy.

We spent the rest of the day walking around the town of Tam Coc and reading by the pool. I think this was our cutest and most relaxing hostel yet.

Sam has also decided to brave the moped driving as this town was less busy than Hanoi and he had a lot of fun doing so!

We just had one quick night/day here as we continue our way down the country to Hoi An.

  1. You are really soaking in culture and nature. Who ever planned the trip did an amazing job. Guess you should share the itinerary to friends and family so that we can experience it at a later time
